Thank
you for visiting the Civic Theatre Guild website! Fuddy Meers, November 2011 - Ryan Legler, Stephanie Poppe, director Gene Davis, Carri Carey, Joe Surwald, Dimitra Dugal, Micah Wyatt & Deborah Saurage) The Sheridan Civic Theatre Guild is comprised of individuals from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds who have at least two things in common: a love of their community and a passion for the theatre. As amateur players, we are supported financially and in spirit by the members of the Sheridan community. It is through your generosity and goodwill that we have been able to bring the best in homegrown entertainment to Sheridan since 1956. Our goal is to bring both art and entertainment to you, the good people of Sheridan, thereby enhancing your appreciation of the theatre, enriching your lives through art, and expanding the hearts and minds of the people we care so deeply about. The Civic Theatre Guild is proud to present the Carriage House Theater as the vehicle in which we can deliver these noble ideals and to share with you our efforts to recreate fine works of stage art for your enjoyment.
Located in a residential neighborhood on the grounds of a major state historic site, the Carriage House Theatre offers an intimate space for viewing the finest in local theatre. With only eighty-seven seats to choose from, we can guarantee that EVERY seat is the BEST seat in the house! The Civic Theatre Guild season generally includes four productions, usually offered in the fall, around Christmas, in late winter/early spring, and mid-spring. Summer productions are occasionally scheduled. Check out our Season Schedule for more information. Working with local and regional artists and production companies, the Civic Theatre Guild is proud to have opened the doors of the Carriage House Theatre to a bevy of musical acts in its new series Acoustic Nights at the Carriage House.
